Blogmas Day 4;
The Annual Christmas Party is something which people have a love-hate relationship with. It’s a time to kickback and get to know your colleagues better but for some it can get a little out of control.
The general consensus as mentioned on TV3’s Midday was to try to refrain from;
- Kissing your boss
- Getting outrageously drunk
- Dancing on tables
Also mentioned was the startling figure of 39% of people who admitted to hooking up at Christmas parties!
My Christmas Party was a dinner in a local restaurant, Kirwan’s Lane, followed by (an excessive amount of) drinks in a late bar.
The menu was varied and included a lot of seafood. The first thing that caught my eye were the fresh oysters.
I was really excited about trying them for the first time and they did not disappoint. They were unbelievable. Definitely a must try for everyone! Ohh and if you do try them make sure you have a half pint of Guinness with them- it really adds to the flavour.
For the main I went with the safe option of a medium-rare steak. This is the only way you can eat steak in my opinion. Any more done and it’s ruined..
Dessert was a lemon posset that I really wasn’t overly keen on.
Quick note on my outfit; Storm Desmond has been wrecking havoc on Ireland so I went with the more sensible choice of dressy leggings and a flowy top with wedge heels and my black trench coat. I could not have left the house in a dress last night!
