This series of blog posts is going to be pretty much a regular “Motivation Monday” but for getting in the Christmas spirit!
Do you ever get that voice in the back of your head saying “are we putting up the Christmas decorations too early?” Or “Have I stocked up on too many mince pies?” Or what about “Turn that god damn music off Carol, it’s only November!!”?
You have a grinch in your life.
If you’re thinking nope, doesn’t sound familiar, then maybe it’s time to take a look in the mirror buddy.
So here are my top tips for getting your wardrobe in the festive spirit;
- Don’t think of it as a Christmas thing- Like it or not Winter is cold (in Ireland anyway). Christmas is in Winter (oh Australia :P). Cold weather calls for warm, woolly clothes, my absolute favourites. You’re going to be digging out the jumpers and hats anyway right? I’d like to take this moment to say I am in no way endorsing Christmas jumpers, most of them are incredibly cringe worthy. However…
- It can be a bit of craic- If you’re doing the 12 pubs with friends or going to a Christmas party, is there really any harm in throwing on a pair of antlers or a Santa Hat?
- Do You- Some people like to go the whole nine yards with reindeers here and snowflakes there. If it’s not your thing, it’s not your thing, simple as. Throw on a red jumper or if you’re really shy a sneaky pair of Christmas socks and just be you.
